Hey y’all! Sorry I’ve been so AWOL. I have been a busy booty with a new semester and the start of my senior year of college, while trying to juggle finding a new job, homework, a club and trying to have a personal life. But I won’t get bogged down with the details at the moment. I am also still learning how to post on a regular schedule, on top of a busy workload. Anyways, I’ve Been Nominated for the Liebster Award!!
I was nominated a little bit ago by @allthingskaygee. It’s an honor, thank you so much for nominating me! And I am so so SO incredibly sorry it has taken me this long to respond, but here it goes.
First of all, WHAT IS THE LIEBSTER AWARD?
Welllllll, the Liebster Award is simply an online award. No trophies, no prizes, just recognition. This specific award is given from one blogger to another. It’s simply here to spread the new blogger news. Basically, we’re introducing new bloggers to the world in hopes of growing a community.
Now we get down and dirty-
• Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you and display award;
• Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you
• Nominate 5-11 bloggers that you think are deserving
• Let the blogger know that you nominated them
• Give them 11 questions to answer
Sooooo, I’m going to do this a little differently. Since this took me too long to respond, I’m not going to choose any new bloggers (plus I don’t know any, I also haven’t had time to read new blogs). I am just going to respond to my nomination, tell all y’all about myself and let this be the start of a regular posting schedule. My personal goal is to post on here every two weeks 🙂
Q: Tell us about your blog and what inspired you to start it.
A: At the moment, my blog is completely and utterly random, there’s honestly no direction. I have so much happening right now that I am still learning how to juggle personal interests while working and going to school. Blogging has always been an interest of mine, but never thought I had much to say. OR figured no one would want to read what I do have to say. I’m teaching myself how to blog and create an audience. So, I’m currently blogging at random to find my niche.
Q: If you could give advice to other bloggers what would it be?
A: I’m so new to this that I’m still looking for advice haha! I guess, don’t be afraid. I’ve been so afraid to start a blog for so long that I’m sad this hasn’t happened sooner. If it’s something you’re interested in, do it. It may not be for you, but you’ll never know unless you try.
Q: What accomplishments are you most proud of?
A: I am incredibly proud of myself for pushing through college. I’m in my sixth and final year, I can feel it and I’m ready to be done, but I’ve done it! I’m also incredibly proud of myself for being the creative and kind person I’ve always been. I’m sassy and sarcastic, but I really care about others. I put my all into my relationships without the expectation of reciprocation.
Q: Name your favorite social media platform, and why?
A: Instagram, ALL. THE. WAY. I am a visual person, I LOVE looking at pictures and watching videos others have put out into the world. From those I follow, I learn about new ideas and how others think and feel. It is a great way to connect with interesting like-minded people. I also LOVE taking pictures and posting them to my own page.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Oh gosh, I honestly have idea what my favorite movie is. I just love movies, but I do have a favorite type. I’ll see any movie once, but I absolutely love romantic comedies from the 80s and 90s. ANY Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks, or Ryan/Hanks combo movie. When Harry Met Sally? LOVE IT. Turner and Hooch? LOVE IT. Sleepless in Seattle? LOVE IT. Also, I love Father of the Bride with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. That movie makes me cry every time. FUN FACT: I actually searched, found and took a picture in front of the Father of the Bride house a few years ago. That was an incredible adventure through Pasadena with my mom 🙂
Q: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be, and why?
A: HANDS-DOWN: Monterey, California. I have been going to and visiting Monterey since I was a baby and it has an incredibly special place in my heart. It is such a sleepy and calm town, amazing restaurants (PEPPERS on Forest Ave), beautiful beaches and close to busy cities I can travel to anytime. This is where I hope to retire to someday!
Q: Who inspires you the most?
A: At the moment, my biggest inspiration I have is Dani of the clothing company Dazey LA. She is absolutely lovely, incredible and inspiring. She is a fabulous artist and an independent boss lady. She creates beautiful work, designs beautiful rooms and is an overall inspiration to me and my current journey towards a similar line of work. I am currently a college student working towards my bachelors in Communication, but my ultimate goal is to be able to create and sell things I’ve made with my own two hands. I also enjoy her personalized Instagram stories and feel like I could be friends with her someday, which would be an honor. Here’s a link to her site to find out more information about her and what she does, https://www.dazeyla.com/
Q: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
A: Oh man, there’s a lot of different things I’d like to be doing by then. Well, first I know I’ll be a college graduate by then (Spring 2018, baby!). I’d also LOVE to own my own home I can decorate and organize. I’m obsessed with interior design and anything organizational. I’d love to be married to my wonderful boyfriend within the next few years and have a cat or two, a dog and a Subaru. I already have names ready for my future animals, haha! Some dream of having human babies, I dream of having as many fur babies as the law will allow haha.
Q: Tea or coffee?
A: I love both, but I’m pretty sure I drink coffee the most. I drink SO much coffee. Even TOO much coffee. I cannot stress enough how much I drink, but it’s a lot. I love it, haha.
Q: What’s your favorite quote?
A: That is a tough one! Just like the movie question, I cannot choose! I’m a huge music lover, so a lot of my favorite quotes come from songs I listen to. I did recently find an Oscar Wilde quote for a class project that I love, “It’s an odd thing, but anyone who disappears is said to be seen in San Francisco.” San Francisco is one of my favorite places to visit, so it only made sense I’d gravitate toward it.
Q: What’s your favorite book to film adaptation?
A: I don’t have one. Usually, if I’ve read the book, I don’t find the movie that great. It can never do it justice. For me, it’s because I’ve already imagined every detail to be something very specific and it never matches the director’s vision.
I hope you enjoyed my answers!
Thank you so much @allthingskaygee for the nomination!
